Online Counseling in All of Wisconsin
Why Online Counseling?
Life is busy. In-person therapy can bring on a new set of stressors including traffic, parking, and needing extra time to and from. Online therapy is more accessible, convenient, and private, allowing you to have more time and remain in your place of comfort.
Who can benefit from online counseling?
Many clients have and can benefit from online counseling, including people who have experienced something traumatic, have social anxiety or want to be able to be in their safe space while talking about difficult things. Studies have show that online therapy can be just as, if not more, effective than other modes of therapy.
Instances where online therapy is beneficial:
You’re feeling a bit off or under the weather but maybe not enough to cancel.
You experience chronic pain and struggle with mobility.
You work from home and have back to back appointments
You have kids (or pets!) and leaving them is hard
You’re running behind and don’t have time to drive to session
You didn’t have time for coffee, lost your keys, spilt eggs on your shirt and slipped on the banana on the floor.
Online Therapy for Trauma
Okay, listen, I get it. I was skeptical too about therapy online. However if you’re still reading, you, too, have an open mind. With trauma work being closely tied to body work, there is a misconception around the therapist being as effective working through a screen. The body-mind connection is at the forefront of my approach in therapy and I make sure to maintain an awareness of body movements throughout your sessions.
Online Therapy for First Responders
Finding a therapist who understands where you’ve been, where you are, and what more is to come can be hard. Online therapy makes us working together more accessible. Your schedule is difficult enough, we don’t need to add more complications to it. Whether you're up in Northern Wisconsin or down in Beloit serving the community, we have the opportunity to use technology to our advantage.
Online Therapy throughout all of Wisconsin.
One of the greatest things about online therapy is accessibility for people dealing with traffic in the city (Madison or Milwaukee) or rural communities with longer commutes. I work with people around the state who want to address mental health.
I serve the following areas and all across the state of Wisconsin:
Madison, Wisconsin
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Janesville, Wisconsin
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Kenosha, Wisconsin
Appleton, Wisconsin
Racine, Wisconsin

If you live in Wisconsin, we can make therapy happen!

(This list is not all encompassing. If it’s on your mind, let’s talk about it!)
What can I talk about in therapy?
The First Steps:
-
1. Connect
Schedule a free 15 minute virtual consultation to see if we are a good fit.
-
2. Build
In our first few sessions we get to know each other while talking about your struggles and your story.
-
3. Explore
As we continue to discover how your life has unfolded, we will work to make connections between what brought you to therapy and the “bigger picture”.

“Daring greatly means the courage to be vulnerable. It means to show up and be seen. To ask for what you need. To talk about how you’re feeling. To have the hard conversations.”
